Chris is the sensitive, not too bright but well meaning DC in Gene Hunt's team. He's best mates with Ray and has worked with The Guv for a long time, dating back to Manchester and Salford CID.
Chris enjoys learning new techniques and takes on board what Sam Tyler and Alex Drake teach him. Whilst not academically clever, Chris excels in his own way of policing.
Chris cares for the welfare of people and has deep feelings for WPC Shaz Granger. He publically shows affection and sticks up for Shaz, despite getting ribbed by Ray.
Although he has made mistakes, Chris cares, regrets and learns from them, to become a better copper and person. He loves being in the Guv's shadow and wouldn't rather be anywhere else.
When not working, Chris likes to body pop and go to the clubs with Shaz.
